10 / 3 / 2008 - Lori and I went on our first Fall Foliage trip. We stayed in Brattleboro , Vermont .. a cute little college town without the college. Did some fishing in the west river at a few pullover spots. We hiked at jamiaca state park along the river whereas I climbed down to hit the water. Very cool hike , need to do again in the summer coz. We hit a park and did a nasty straight up trail , I think it was molly state park . The trail was rough. Lori was mad at me .. we are out of shape

Went to Townshend state park , it was closed for season ...bummer ... doesn`t make sense. Some beautiful scenery especially with the turning leaves. See Summer 2008 and at the end are all the pics from this weekend.

We did a lot of driving. Went up rt 30 along the west river , down 100 and then 112 back to brattleboro. On sunday hit route 9 west to Bennington. VEry scenic route with some pullover bluffs and some great views. We drove down route 7 into mass and took route 2 , the mohawk trail home. WE have some pics of the 2 stops with 100 mile views. Beautiful. .

We were tired and stopped at a picnic area next to a running river and napped right there with the bubbling river noise , I drooled on Lori`s back , she loves when I snuggle.

Good weekend .. much needed as I`m a bit mental during the Fall because of work.

5/30/08- Went to Lake Champlain , stayed in South Burlington Vermont. Wonderful time .. Took a scenic drive thru the islands that cut thru Lake Champlain with views of the Adirondacks in the west and the lake to the east. Absolutly Beautiful. There are a number of small state parks that we stopped at for some small hikes and a little fishing. I caught a small pickerel.

We saw a lot of animals this trip including a turtle , bunch of frog species , water snake , garter snake , brown snake , a few deer , lots of birds and butterflies which we can identify due to our nature guide. A lot of hawks which we had trouble identifying. We saw what we believe was a muskrat but could`ve been a mink or fisher. See vermont wildlife

I have some pics which I will put up soon.
