1/9/2006 - Is Bush Spying , Breaking the Law ?

As you may be able to determine from my articles , that I lean a bit left. Yes I have declared myself a liberal , especially over these last few years. I do have some conservative views (smaller government, individual responsibility first , strong economic growth policies,some traditional tendencies (not everything requires immediate overhaul or change) but for the most part I disagree with everything Conservative Republicans believe and administer as policy now. I don`t agree with the religious conservatives views at all. I don`t want government intrusion into personal lives and choices therefore( I`m pro-choice ,believe in equal rights for all, believe in separation of church and state, not so gung-ho about public funding of Bush`s faith based initiatives, nor his refusal of research based on his religious belief)

I believe our democracy has slowly become an aristocracy or oligarchy. The common citizen is generally the target or unfortunate conseqential recipient of all the endeavors of the elite government. I disagree with Everything Bush is doing as far as Taxes , S.S , Medicare , his horrendous treatment of the environment , his limiting of our civil rights , I hate his idealism of Spreading Freedom while limiting our own , I hate his expenditures of public funds to promote his plans (30 mil + to sell privatizaton) , I disagree with his appontments to the bench, His parties political maneuverings such as submitting NON-Negotiable bills to vote on , Friday night bills snuck in , redistricting to save seats , legal fights against voter rolls that affect rep. votes, I hate the Right`s propaganda machine that spews lies , propagates simplified myths counteracting a real discussion , bullying and badgering of any counter view , calling into question anyones patriotism when disagreeing with our foreign policy , which I TOTALLY disagree with, telling liberals that they hate america because they disagree with the President`s party. I resent the salesmanship packages and fear mongering that the party tries to decieve us with. Clear skies Program , S.S is falling down , terrorism is coming , Patriot Act - protecting americans, etc; I can`t even remember all the simplified Good-Will sounding policies that he put forth that are truly the exact opposite of their titles or what was said about them when sold to us.

I hate the fact that big business can buy votes in all stages of our government. I hate the bogus Campaign Reform Rhetoric that never comes to fruition. I hate the give away of public assets to the best party donors. I hate the increasing gap between the rich and the poor , and the disintegrating middle class , due to the policies of the government.

I hate Karl Rove! He is evil. I hate dubya`s hypocracy. Protestors get pushed into protest zones , arrested if they have signs anti-bush , while the President states in a speech to the bourgeoise , I love Free Speech. Bullshit... The freedom of Information Act , Under ATTACK - Freedom of the press - Bullied and Stymied - Freedom of speech - equally - Privacy -- Gone - freedoms of choice , stripped . I realize I`m speaking so general right now it sounds like I may be exaggerating the problem. It is possible I am , but I have specific gripes that I can articulate about every item I have stated. I think I actually will. I`ll start with the article Below \/

We have been robbed, not once but many times. Multiple attacks have occurred in the last four years. Trillions of dollars have been siphoned out of public funds into the bottomless wells of the elite. Our collective wallets have been drained without our notice.
Who are the elite ? How did they pull this off? The elite are the Charles Schwabs`, Jack Welchs` and Kenneth Lays of the world. These top 2% of American society are also President Bush`s "Base". These are the people that Bush panhandles in order to come to power via their campaign contributions and support. It is their wants that govern US Policy at our expense.
Let me start at the beginning…….
I believed in George. I felt he was a good, honest sincere man. I believed he was strong of faith and would be a good head of our great nation. I believed that this Texan rancher had the good of Americans at heart. Although many attribute him with the famous words of Forest Gump , I believed he would make a good leader.
I have since undergone a paradigm shift of political thought. I came to learn about the hidden agenda not through traditional means; CNN , Fox news (they are in on it) I found much rarer resources of independent papers , books , associations and websites. It is the perusal of these that gave me a much more rounded picture and shed light on this burglary. Let me present some facts for you.
As soon as Bush entered office he robbed the bank. He gave 1.3 trillion dollars of public funds in a whopper of a tax-cut. The top 2% of Americans receive the lions share of the payoff. He did not stop there , no siree bob… He swooped down again and cut the dividend tax. 89% of this tax cut will go to the upper 10% of society. Call the police , I've been robbed!

The tax cut caper was just the beginning of the blatant thefts of our public treasury. There are more insidious crimes to learn about.
Bush, during the controversial war on Iraq , managed to increase military spending which will translate to a $4 Trillion budget over the next decade. How much is a trillion ? One trillion seconds ago , Neanderthal men stalked the earth.
Where does all this money go? Does our military personnel receive it? NO.
GI`s in Afghanistan in 2002, attempting to root out Al Qaeda forces hiding in caves had to buy their own Flashlight.
I can create a long laundry list of essential equipment denied the young men and women (not Bush`s base) who are dying for our country. Instead I will tell you where the money went.
Corporate defense contractors and their CEO's. These organizations that donated heaps of cash to campaign funds received billions of dollars from taxpayer money in return. Lockheed Martin , a defense contractor , donated over $10 million dollars in a 10 year span 1992-2003. Do you believe it was out of the kindness of their heart ? NO ! It was for billion dollar contracts , baby. (the same company that had to settle with the government for knowingly overcharging for air force contracts)
Who else among George Bush`s "Base" have helped themselves to our money ? Business Corporations and their executives by avoiding income tax with shady off shore tax havens and back room deals. Upstanding companies like Global Crossing and Enron are looting the bank by not paying into it. Besides costing 5000 employees their jobs , depleting their pensions , burning its investors, and executive thefts of $100 million (Ken lays payout prior to Enron`s crash); Enron only paid taxes 4 out of 5 years.
CSX Corp, ran by our very own treasury secretary , John Snow, paid ZERO federal income taxes in three of four years , despite profits of nearly a billion dollars. In fact , CSX pulled $164 million right out of our wallets in tax rebates.
My small company paid substantially more taxes than ZERO on a lot less income. I also do not recall opening up an envelope with a $164 million tax rebate check.
This giveaway to the rich and elite corporate world does not stop here. Part of the recent tax cuts gives over $40 billion in tax incentives to Bush`s corporate "base".
It is apparent you and I are not a member of Bush`s 'Base' ball team. It is equally clear that the systematic raping of our public funds will not stop under this administration. This is not democracy. You and I have had no say in these matters. I future articles I will provide information, resources , and plans of action on how to take back America from these thieves. For now I leave you a quote from Cicero:
