August 9th , 2003 - OZ !!!

This was my 3rd Ozzfest and as usual it rocked. In past years we always went real early to see some of the up and comer bands but 12 hours at The Meadows in Hartford, Ct can make for a long day.

This year we went at about 3ish and we had seats to see the bands we wanted to see

Chevelle , Disturbed , Manson , Korn , and obviously the main man himself Ozzy !

During Korn and Manson , looking back from our seats at the lawn was scary. 1000`s of people jumping around , moshing , and partying made you a little queasy in your seat coz you know if they decided to bum rush the stage , no one was gonna be able to stop them.

Luckily no major riots despite the large amount of drunks we saw floating around the meadows.

Korn rocked as usual , They did a killer 1/2 song version of ONE (metallica) and obviously everything else they did was on ! They could do a 4 hour show and not have a bad tune in it if you ask me - I know some people don`t like there newer stuff coz its not as raw but Live , there new stuff is just as crunchy and heavy as there first two albums

Manson , who i`ve seen before had a shorter set as for some unknown reason to me Disturbed came AFTER Manson. Got me dude , there alright but Manson !

The Mobsene album was a good part of his theme , with the chickies half naked high kicking and belting out the Be Obscene chorus. He didn`t disappoint by not playing his classics , he rocked on that and put on his typically killa show.

We stayed for 1/2 of the Ozzy set to avoid the nasty traffic jam , I`ve seen ozzy now like 5 times. Zack Wylde is just unbelievable and Ozzy has still got it. Seeing him on his T.V show makes you feel like you know him now which makes watching him still jumping around , clapping , spraying water on the crowd , a real kick
