10/1/03 Been working my @ss off , The fall is absolutely pandemonium at Safeside Chimney , phones ring absolutely all day long , non stop , already booking weeks and weeks in advance,Hectic as Hell , Stressed as Heck , Will be like this til New Years. I hate the Fall ! (though I like the money)I don`t see myself doin a whole lot or writing a whole lot until its SKI season.

9/20 Phil and Karen came up for the weekend from Long Island to my humble abode in Ct . We had a pretty good time , most of my friends up here wimped out on going clubbing in Hartford so we hit the local bar that always has a band playing. It was Kasual. Thanx guys for stoppin on up.

9/6 Block island is just a party island. Only way to get there is by boat or ferry. Boats are lined up all over the island. We stayed at a dock that had a bar and hotel, places to BBQ (which we did grilling up steaks , potatoes,veggies etc;) We had a good crew of people in 2 boats , Kyles and this crazy dude Dean who docks at the same place in saybrook that Kyle does. Deans a good dude even though he is nuts. Our car mechanic and friend Johnny had some of his employees out with him on his boat. We cabbed it into town and did some bar hopping , definitely a good time. Everyone crashed on the boats (should I say passed out) Lori and I grabbed a room , I wasn`t crazy about the idea of sleeping on the boat , all cramped up and seasick and all. The cruise to Block Island was nice but the way back was Waaay Long as one of Kyles engines went so we had to limp it back home sloooowwwly.

09/05 Going with Kyle and his boat buddies to Block Island for the weekend. My boy Brando is shooting up for the weekend.

08/31 - Kyle has got a boat , a 31ft Silverton I think , Real cool , We went out for the day cruising around the sound in old saybrook CT , Me , Lori, Billy and Neeny, Matt and Clarice , Kyle and Melissa w/ lil David, and Chris Aka Dork Dangerous had arguably the coolest day of the summer , cruising around on the boat suckin` down a few beers and enjoying the sun. Kyles new boat buddies are some real partiers that know how to have a good time with a boat. We hit Old Lyme Pavillion and took water taxis to the beach and bar where a live band was playing (the Zoo), Later that night we hit The Dock And Dine , where you dock your boat and hit the bar and restaurant , I helped Lori eat her Baked stuffed shrimp. A real good time. Thanx Kyle

08/30/03 - Went to the woodstock fair. I like fairs , even though we spend most of the time walking around all the different food booths trying to pick One type of food to eat , so much to choose and not enough room in the stomach

8/25 Went to the Brooklyn ,Ct Fair - A small but cool fair with the typical New England theme ( farm animals , farming equip , dog shows, horse and ox shows etc;) Lori`s favorite part of the fair was the Deep Fried Twinkie I let her eat :-)

8/12 - Lori and her sister Chrisite dragged me to see Hedwig and the angy inch (http://www.hedwiginabox.com/) I saw the movie with her so we went to the hartford stage for the play. The music was actually really good despite the crossdressing homo theme the whole play was based on. They also added many clever "local jokes" about connecticut which were funny. It was entertaining and the evening would`ve been nice except Lori`s truck decided to have a dead battery when we were on our way home. We were in a garage so no tow truck could get to us due to the low clearance. We did eventually get home , thanks for your concern.

August 5th -Summer of 2003 - This season began as all others , dreams and hopes of a full , active , adventure filled summer that will surpass all others. As the daylight creeps closer to the edge of the workday , I see that hope fading for the summer of 2003. Why is it that as we get older , the summer gets shorter ? When did I become this serious , cautious individual , that finds day to day life so encompassing that I forgot how to have fun. I spent this summer alienating my friends thru neglect or outright cantakerousness , demoralizing my previously consumately upbeat fiance , and wallowing in self-originated depression. Was I always like this ? Have I only deluded myself , romanticizing the past as all of us do ,eventually. I think I`m really depressed.

8/2- Nothing lined up for the weekend with no intentions of trying to find something to do ... Everyone Sucks ! (read below for background)

7/26th Camp Creek ---hmmm....... Off to upstate NY for a weekend of camping and hippy music and drinking with a bunch of other hippys in an open field type of campground. Arrived at 10:30 PM after work and waited on a line to enter Creek to 12:30 and moved appx 50 feet with no end in sight about getting in. Decided we were taking off for a bit , either for a bite to eat or a hotel , whichever came first , On way out a car that was a bit ahead of me , slams the gas and promptly takes out the guards at the gate. Woman guard flies 15 feet off the mirror , and dude guard flips up over the car and lands on the ground in front of the entrance. Wildest thing I`ve seen. No one knows why or what but Dude guard was not getting up. My first instinct was to chase after the maniac but guard in way , also meaning we Can`t Leave. Park vehicle about 1am and walk up (good mile walk) Catch up to my boy Billy Hall , and start drinking and partying. Later see a helicopter overhead and sure enought it starts descending on Creek, apparently the guard was airlifted , poor soul. Come about 4am , bit tired ... .Billy already had our tent up for us but all our pillows , blankets , gear etc are in truck. So , walking that mile to the truck to grab some blankets.STILL A LINE!!!! WE get to the truck and the guards tell us WE HAVE to take the vehicle in or it will be towed. GREAT , another Hour on the line , drive the mile to the tentsite , CRASH! G`night -

Wake up appx 7am .....Peee !!!! Wake up again 10am as the tent starts heating up , a restful 5 hours sleep .....grab a smoke and wait ...wheres my Bag , my little army bag I`ve been carrying my stuff in. Phone ($500 Treo PDA Phone), Keys , cigs,glasses , wallet etc; . Hmmmmm .....not there , not here......F#@#$#@$ !!!! Gone !!!! Some hippy F!@#ER ! stole my bag ! - Did I mention KEYS ! - Loris truck keys gone , my car keys , house keys Gone ! wallet with $300 cash , ID , credit cards , corporate card , debit cards GONE , $300 glasses gone , $500 phone gone ! Misc other shit , gone ! - trip went down hill from there

Called a locksmith and eventually got a key made for Lori`s truck , Did not stay the rest of the weekend as planned as the Buzz Was Gone ....Drove home without my glasses , lotsa fun with Lori reading me the signs to navigate home ....Tons of fun!...Did I mention Lori`s car had an alarm which despite the new key is now missing and acting quirky ...While IN the car , if we pull over to say ....Peee ! the alarm screeches wildly do deter such things....Can`t get out of car ...cant get in house .... woohooo ! I love hippys , what loving cool people to chilll with !!!! NOT!

Creek used to be cool, you could walk around and stopyby any tent and say HOwdy ! not no more , we have the Neo-hippies who don`t even like the music , they are there to party , or sell drugs , or steal my F@#$$NG bag.... !

7/19th Decided to hit Long beach instead of Moses because of the previous fiasco , and figgered it was closer to home , ya know West.Beach was cool, nice day for it , the water is warming up and was wavy enough for fun, but not surfing...never surfing. Getting home from there was a nightmare , bad idea Lori . o.k just kidding , I`m in charge , my bad , crappy drive home took forever to get home because of traffic , construction , the whitestone bridge instead of our usual throgs neck ...3.5 hours , agghh . Supposed to be 2 hours 15min.

7/18th - Weekend --DAVE !, My boy ...up from Florida with his beautiful wife ...so were off to hang with him , and get some of the boys and girls together. AFter a 4 hour nightmare commute to NY, met up with Phil who is gracious enough to host us for the evening . Couldn`t take any pics coz Lori broke my camera. After not hearing from Dave all day and half the night we finally catch up to him at around 10:30 meeting at Classics sports bar on the turnpike in Levittown. Def. nice to see him again , like nothings changed ....We chilled at Classics for a bit , then went to Lily Flannigans , where the girls went dancing and the boys played Darts , come 2 ish Am , Mary and Lori , getting along well... Still Dancing , I`m drunk , tired and wanna go home (4 hour drive and a dozen and a half of Stoli-O-7 ups)....After a fight with Mary , I was finally able to wrestle MY LORI , back from her Hip gyrating , techno bumping , arms flailing grip and call it an evening , to the chagrine of Lori who apparently this evening was ready for a 4AM close the bar night. Sorry babe. We`ll need to shoot down to Florida to hang with Dave and Mary again , as I miss them already and think I owe Mary a visit from KB NIGHTGUY , who has no Problem closing the clubs , dancing a bit ,and kissing the morning sky on a weekend or two.

7/11th weekend - Nice weekend in CT - visited the historic western Ct litchfield hills , nice drives down scenic route 7 along the Housatonic River , lots of bluffs and river views , nice picture taking day .... Unfortunately Lori , when I was trying to convince her to get out of the passenger seat and run down to the river because it was a nice spot , albeit difficult to get to , refused , and I , in a huff jumped back in the driver seat , nailed the gas and whoosh went the camera off the top of the car where I left it. No mo camera , no pics of the last few weeks coz they were in the camera. agghhh.. On the way home we found a state forest (never knew) that you drive 2 + miles in dirt road and empties to a lake , pretty cool , even though couldn`t take any pics coz Lori broke my camera.

7/5th - decided to hit the beach before shooting back to CT , wanted to catch a wave at Robert Moses , I haven`t surfed in like 2 years and think I`m due for a wave , well after a lil tussle with Lori over what we should eat or bring to the beach , coz Lori couldn`t make up her mind what she wanted , but had faces and attitude over my ideas , soo.....Off to the beach with NOTHING to eat , highly irritable Kevin , and grudgingly apologetic Lori .... around the ocean parkway pencil circle thingy and off to robert moses !!! oh wait this is not it , damn I`m heading west , out of beach area back to Levittown , F%$#%^ , ok , great , just going home ! Lovely weekend , Lori`s fault , I know it is.

7/4th - Well , we shot down to NY for the weekend ,The plan was to hit a hideaway beach on the north shore to watch the fireworks. Hung out during the day at Charlies , doin` the BBQ thing , plenty of food , Kids , and O`tooles. Those crazy O`tooles! Good to see Little Pete Lemieux back from Texas and the military. And Kenneth and Andreas twins are gorgeous and unbearably cute. We went to the beach that night *after a 20 minute stop at 7-11 getting everyone together and a 45 min drive with numerous cars getting lost , stopping starting etc; Finally there , got a nice spot, played a bit of volleyball before the sun set , waited a good hour before it was dark enough for fireworks , then it begun FIREWORKS , what I`ve been waiting for all weekend and suffered through kiddy fest at Charlies for , Then big PETEY PETES, charlies dad, decided that we would make great time back to the house if we leave NOW that the fireworks started , so after all that I`m back in the car driving back to charlies house and the kids and the otooles , (whom I love by the way , every one , but the whole clan together can be trying) - Pat O`toole shot some his fireworks (decent collection) and when they started to shoot into neighbors cars and yards the fun was over , Again ... Good Night , going home tomorrow !

6/28th SAFESIDE CHIMNEYS annual Picnic was a success - we held it at Wickham park in East Hartford ,Ct - Had a good showing of Safeside employees and friends. We had the Brawl (dale/james) the Volley ball spiker (ME!) , the drunk (steve) , the cook (Kyle) , the Kids (numerous) and much more.... check out the Gallery and scroll down to Safeside Picnic

6/21- Another crappy rainy weekend. I did nothing / got nothing done / Crap !!!! dog dirt / kakah ! Pooh ! Shit! - Nothing ! - We ventured out to the drive-in in Loris truck to see THE HULK - The damn truck`s running lights don`t go off when the power is on - We got booted from the blasted drive-in CRAP !! SHIT ! KA KAH!

June 15th Happy Fathers Day - Intentionally went out fri night (marco polo`s) so I would get drinking out of my system so I can see Dad bright and early on Sun. Morning to spend the day- Well after sleeping most of Saturday due to being up til 3AM and a lil after hours party at our crib , I was bright and blue eyed for Sunday - Had a nice day with old pops .... went to the beach for a bit to fish but NO Luck, all the orientals were cleaning up catching fish after fish , even inedible fish like sea robins but ya know , they`ll eat anything. I was kinda jealous

June 14th - Karaoke night at Marco Polo -- weehee - Lori wants me to go coz a bunch of her old boys and girls from East Hartford will be there. - some pics are in the june gallery

June 7th - Shot down to Scottio`s house on the water in Mastic - LONG ISLAND! Played some drinking games with the boys and girls. We played Group Cranium where we all move the same piece like we are on the same time , coz some of us are a bit too competitive and in the past this hardcore game of pictionary, charades ,trivia just got too intense (won`t mention names ) Rained all weekend but we didn`t care Some pics will be in the June 2003 Gallery - I have some lil homemade videos of the evening but they are Not Rated PG so you must email me to request them.

June 2003- Brando and I went to the Webster Theatre in Hartford CT to see Third Eye Blind. Brando being a doorman at a posh hotel that recieves many famous visitors hooked up with some of the band and got us 2 backstage tickets to meet the dudes after the show. I thought they were tight and are a good band but nothing killer - Brando on the other hand was tickled. After the show we got to hang around while everyone else had to leave , then we went outside to meet the band. I kinda felt silly with a bunch of other people who can`t wait to hear what these cats have to say. I could care less about what kind of small talk would come out of these guys mouths...sure enough met the bassist , cool cat but he kept asking Brando if his "Beats were Phat " during the show. Not someone I care to carry a conversation with. Anyway was cool shaking hands with some of the guys etc; Now , if it was KORN , yeah baby I`d be all over hangin wit dem.

Memorial Day Weekend - Rained all weekend. Lori and I went to our friends Phil and Karens apartment in manhatten to do some museum hopping and bar hopping. We hit Madame Tusauds wax museum(<--read about it at the Kafe) - Ck out the Gallery for this weekends pics. - Had a decent weekend despite the weather. On Sunday we were headed to the Museum of Natural History but the line was ridiculous and didn`t look like it was moving so we took off to do some shopping in the village. After an hour of shopping with the girls , come about 2pm Phil and I decided it was time to start drinking. From the Slaughtered Lamb 2pm....to....Jeckyl and Hyde (<--same website)...to a dozen Dives to a few hidden smoking bars (Brando who met up with us about 11pm knew about them) to some stuffin our face full of New York Pizza at 3am. I`m now officially on the wagon for a bit.

May 17th 2003- An epic gathering at eisenhower park THE BBQ REUNION

May - Haven`t done a whole lot this May. Spent most of the past few weekends hitting book sales and tag sales to sell the bookstore. Yeah , I know I`m really losing it , I spent my last few weekends fighting with old ladies to beat them to the good stuff !

5/5 Cinco De Mayo - Woohoo- I didn`t do anything but list some more books that I bought this weekend at tag sales onto Amazon to sell. I think I`m getting artsy and fartsy in my old age. I never would`ve thought I`d be waking up early on a saturday morning trying to beat old ladies at the tag sales from grabbing my books. Sad !

4/26/03 Just got back from my chimney test to get CSIA Certified as a chimney technician. ME and 2 other guys took the test , I think we passed but we don`t get to find out for TWO WEEKS - damn ! But if we do , you know I`m gonna market the heck out of it for Safeside Chimney

4/25 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LORI _ I LOVE YOU - she is officially a quarter century old - half of 50 - you know catchin` up to me

4/24 Took Lori out to dinner and a musical. Took her to see Seussical , Dr seuss`s musical at the oakdale theatre in wallingford ct . I never told her what we were doing so it was a surprise for her . She loved it , I thought it was good as far as musical goes , but it was her birthday present not mine :-)

04/17 Went to a Reel Big Fish concert , a Ska-punk band from Cali , played here at Toads Place in New Haven. Was pretty cool , Fun band playing fun music. Lotta little kiddies follow the band,kinda makes me feel old but I hung out in the bar side of the club with the other "won`t admit we`re old yet crowd"

4/13 - Happy Palm Sunday- Didn`t know today was palm sunday until we saw some dude in Boston waving a palm out of his window. Oh yeah , todays like a holy day. Boston was cool - Read about my trip on my boston travel page

4/7-4/8 Can you believe another snowstorm !!! Its April DAMNIT !! I don`t think i can handle any more snow ..man ... The Farmers Almanac says we are going to get the biggest snowstorm of the year on April 11th - No way , I don`t believe that mystic $#!&

3/23/03 Lori started the Atkins diet , which is a strict NO CARBOHYDRATE diet where the idea is that after a few days of starving yourself of aforementioned, your body goes into KETOSIS and begins burning your fat. I am happy for her as she is enthusiastic about it and wish her well.

3/24/03 Who is this girl in my house? When I left I had a sweet , unassuming , and caring fiance person and when I came home....... Aghhh !!! What did I do Wrong !!!!?? Who is this B$#@% ?

3/28/03 I hope this person finally goes thru her METAMORPHOSIS or whatever its F%$#@ called, coz I can`t standst it no mores ! I miss my fiance person.

3/15/03 - Did some spring skiing in Jiminy Peak Massachussetts , beautiful day of skiing in a t-shirt. My buddy Shem also was so adorned but he had the misfortune of repeated diggers into the Wet Slushy snow , not fun in just a t-shirt. I on the other hand was dry as a bone : He he Look at me , look at me !!

3/8/03 Went out to eat with the Family to celebrate my uncle , my sis and my birthdays. The happy Pisces !! Forgot what it was like going out to eat with the family. There was 8 of us. We asked for 4 separate checks instead of simply figuring out the bill and dividing it. I wanted to hide under the table , at one point I was just going to pay for all of it to avoid the confusion of our poor waitress trying to pull apart 8 dinners , 12 drinks , and 6 apps into 4 separate bills. Family is Joy!

3/6/03 Happy Birthday to ME !!! I`m 24 today and Lori is taking me out to dinner for my birthday. Low key , nothing crazy as it was a thursday. Going to New York this weekend to celebrate with the family and friends. If your curious about my age , I decided to start counting backwards after I turned 28 ..Figure it out yourself

2/18 We got almost 2 freaken Feet of that shit , got Blisters on my Fingers ... 2 hours of shoveling then off to work , tons of fun ... Brian finally emailed me a full version of his Saudi Novel

2/17 - Happy Blizzard everyone !!! its about 11pm and I`m staring at about 1 ft of snow. Expecting another 6-12inches overnight . Great , more White Shit ! Just what we need after such a MILD winter

2/16/2003 Back home from Kay`s funeral. The wake , funeral , and party afterwards were all well done. The flowers were beautiful , the services were good. John Bernias helped everything run smoothly. A wake is for those left behind for one last goodbye but it is also a celebration of life. Her friends and family that were there showed how many lives she touched and how much she touched them. I will miss her.

2/12 Back from the Poconos - Heres a few pictures

2/8-2/12 th - Taking Lori to the Poconos , Caesars Palace Resorts. I`ll let ya know how it was. Should be cool , I`ll get some skiing in , some romantic time to keep the girl smilin` and gettin a few days off work - Beat Dat !

2/4 Finch was definitely cool, they were heavier than I thought they would be , some songs almost hardcore. We will definitely be hearing some more of them over the years.

2/2 Sun. Night after skiing ....Off to take Lori to the Webster Theatre in Hartford to see the band Finch. I liked some of the stuff I`ve heard so it should be a cool show. They have two songs on the radio, I was told they were like EMO music ..a form of punk

2/2 Okemo was pretty cool , I`ve driven past Okemo a thousand times on the way up to Killington but this is the first time actually skiing there , Lotsa fun Blue runs and the Blacks are like Killington blues so the whole mountain just flies. Ripped it up with my boy Matt , didn`t get much pictures since it was white out most of the weekend.

1/19 Went to the Springfield Armory in Massachussetts, Its a historical site filled with the old rifles and guns from the civil war ---> world war II- Shows the beginning gun making by hand ---> to the industrial way of making guns with machines and assembly lines. 1/17 Radio 104 Show was cool , at the webster some new up and comer bands -Maroon 5 , OK GO ! , Authority Zero. Definitely worth checkin` out - Kinda EMO style bands , bordering pop / punk

12/25 - What a blizzard , I couldn`t even recognize the roads in my old neighborhood in long island. , ended up at Kyle`s family`s house after doing the Christmas thang with the Folks. All the bars were closed because of the storm so Lori and I hung at Kyles , had a cool time. The all wheel drive Subaru took it like a champ. If I was only able to see where the heck I was goin` it woulda been smooth sailing

12/14th - Killington weekend , gone skiing with Kyle , actually it was a typical Kevin/Kyle ski weekend as we did more drinking then skiing , the legend lives on .... We are the skiers that don`t ski !!!!
